OUR IMPACT
Since our founding in 2022, the Youth Power Project (YPP) has established itself as a leading force in youth-led policy change and civic engagement across the United States. We have successfully:
-
Introduced 12+ state and federal bills with a 100% sponsorship rate
-
Passed 5 chaptered state and federal policies with bipartisan support
-
Engaged 50,000 individuals in advocacy efforts
-
Operated in 5 states across the country (California, Texas, New York, North Carolina, and Louisiana)
-
Reached 100,000+ individuals through digital visibility efforts

The Youth Power Project creates peer-driven opportunities for young people with adverse health experiences to access, experience, and trust democracy by:
-
Training and platforming youth to write state and federal policies according to their lived experiences
-
Releasing evidence-informed best practices for youth co-governance in health and education systems
We operate by the principle that improving engagement with civic institutions and utilization of key services necessitates not only expanding and diversifying those services, but also creating the conditions for young people to recognize their needs and trust institutions across government, education, and healthcare.
